Disney's California Adventure theme park is changing up some of their existing rides and adding new ones. Here's a synopsis of what's new.

Disney's California Adventure is undergoing the largest expansion in decades. Here's what's new at the California theme park.

Disney's World of Color

This new attraction is set to debut in Spring 2010. There is no set date as of yet, but it's anticipated to be in time for the Spring Break crowds. The new nighttime water show will bring Disney animation to life over California Adventure's Paradise Pier. It will feature hundreds of fountains and lights, fog, surround sound and lasers, to create a spectacular show on the worlds largest projected water screen. It will also feature clips from classic Disney movies such as "Alice in Wonderland" , "The Lion King", "Pocahontas" and "Toy Story": The show will run every night (weather permitting) for approximately twenty five minutes. A new 9000 people capacity viewing area has also been installed for visitors to get a good view of the show.

Blue Sky Cellar

Also at Disney's California Adventure is Blue Sky Cellar. This interactive exhibit opened in July 2009 and provide visitors a place to see new concepts and models related to the expansion taking place. Imagineer's sketches are also displayed in a mock creative Imagineer's workspace. Videos showcase the behind-the-scenes activities that take place when putting together new ideas.

Ariel's Undersea Adventure

This new attraction will debut in 2011. It will be located at Paradise Pier at Disney's California Adventure, this ride will feature leading-edge animation and special effects, allowing visitors to dive into the scenes and songs from the Little Mermaid Movie.

Buena Vista Street

In 2012 Disney's California Adventure will have a new entrance. The area will take on a 1920's feel with Red Car Trolley's that are reminiscent of the old Pacific Electric Red Car Line. These trolley's will travel up and down Buena Vista Street alongside new dining, shopping and entertainment options. There will also be a new "visual icon" inspired by Los Angeles' historic Carthay Circle Theatre. This theatre premiered "Snow White and Seven Dwarfs" in 1937.

Cars Land

Also in 2012, the new twelve acre Cars Land addition will open to visitors. This attraction will recreate the town of Radiator Springs from the movie "Cars". There will be three new rides; Radiator Springs Racers, which will be a major attraction and will put guests in the middle of a twisting, turning, high-speed adventure, Luigi's Flying Tires and Mater's Junkyard Jamboree.
